On June 10, members of the Class of 2015 joyfully celebrated their graduation along with their families, their Upper School friends and members of the professional community. Dr. Patricia Hayot, Head of School, welcomed everyone and thanked them for contributing to the growth and success of the day’s graduates. Michael Maloy, Head of the Upper School, then began the ceremony with a call to celebrate, reading the poem “Ithaka,” by C. P. Cavafy.

After offering her own congratulations, Linden Havemeyer Wise ’70, Chair of Chapin’s Board of Trustees, introduced alumna Jane Lauder ’91, the Global Brand President of Clinique, who gave the Commencement address. Ms. Lauder drew laughter from the crowd as she shared her wise, and often humorous, advice with the Class. She encouraged them to always value their achievements and to seek happiness. Ms. Lauder also emphasized the importance of remaining connected to other Chapin alumnae and to reach out to them for support, should they ever need it.

Congratulations to the Class of 2015! We wish them much happiness in their bright futures!
