Commencement 2018

On June 6, 2018, a beautiful, sun-filled morning, the 58 members of the Class of 2018 walked across a peony-covered stage and officially became graduates of The Chapin School. Highlights of the commencement ceremony include traditional songs sung by the Upper School students and Choral Club; a reading of the C.P. Cavafy poem "Ithaka" by Upper School Head Michael Maloy; remarks from LeeAnn Black, Chair of the Board of Trustees; a rousing Commencement Address by author and human rights advocate Kati Marton, and, of course, the awarding of the diplomas by Head of School Dr. Patricia Hayot. The families, friends and professional community members gathered together were filled with pride as they witnessed this joyous occasion.

Congratulations to the Class of 2018! We wish you much happiness and success in your college years and beyond, and look forward to welcoming you back to Chapin.
