This piece, which originally appeared in the Jan/Feb 2019 issue of the printed Chapin Today, is in honor of Jane Lucille Herb Rinden, whom we were fortunate to have at Chapin from 1981 to 2006. A former English teacher and Head of the English Department, Jane died July 2018. It was written with love by her dear friends Ann V.
