Denise Bailey-Castro is the Head of Finance for BET Networks. She leads and manages all aspects of the Networks' finances including budgeting, reporting, and forecasting. She also supports strategy & business development for BET under the Premium Networks Group, which has grown to include SHOWTIME Networks since the ViacomCBS merger in December 2019. Previously, Denise led deal negotiations with cable/satellite and digital partners as a member of legacy Viacom's Content Distribution Team. Her work provided distribution of networks such as MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, and BET to millions of US homes. Before joining Viacom, Denise also worked at JPMorgan, Paramount Pictures, and HBO. Denise earned her MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, MPA from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government, and B.A. in Economics and Urban Studies from the University of Pennsylvania. She is an Emmy voter, as a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, and a competitive powerlifter.

Janelle James is a proud alumna of The Chapin School and an experienced Marketing Strategy Executive, Consumer Expert, and Identity & Inclusion Expert with a passion for changing the world and inspiring those around her. Creating, connecting and improving are the driving forces behind everything she does. She is currently a Director at Kantar and has spent her career developing strategy for and strengthening brands like McDonald's, P&G, American Express, ABC/Disney and Samsung. She is most interested in exploring the intersection where people and business meet, so marketing, research, and developing careers is often the focus of her work. Janelle has a B.A. and MBA from Harvard, has lived abroad four times, and gets most of her exercise running after her two year old daughter Dillyn.

Katrina Nusum has held senior compliance and legal roles in financial services companies for over 20 years, including Schroders plc, TIAA and Fidelity International. Currently, in addition to serving as the Chief Compliance Officer for Fidelity International's Bermuda office, Katrina leads the Global Conduct programme, which includes managing, training and enforcing the conduct standards set out by the company's Global Code of Conduct and Ethics. Katrina previously led the company's global financial crime programme. During her career Katrina has also led teams responsible for operational risk, company secretarial and business continuity and supported private equity, venture capital, hedge, and mutual funds. Katrina was born in Bermuda and immigrated to New York City at the age of 11. She attended Chapin, received a B.A. in English from Stanford University, her law degree from Emory University and is a member of the New York State Bar. Katrina has worked in the US and Bermuda, where she currently resides. Her roles have also allowed her to travel globally, including to London, Hong Kong, Luxembourg and Singapore to work and meet peers.

Betty Wong Ortiz ’90 first fell in love with publishing after her senior-year stint as Chapin yearbook editor-in-chief. After Cornell, she enjoyed a 20-plus-year career in magazine publishing at large consumer titles such as Parents, Family Circle, and Bon Appetit, including time as editor-in-chief of Fitness and later Runner's World, where Betty was its first female editor-in-chief in its 51-year history. As the media landscape constricted, Betty pivoted her storytelling skills into content marketing, leading digital content teams at startups like quip and Blink Health before landing her current role as director of marketing content strategy at Dropbox. Betty earned her executive MBA from NYU Stern, is a frequent marathoner, and lives in Forest Hills, Queens with her husband and two children.

La Toya Sutton is an Attorney at the National Advertising Division (NAD) of BBB National Programs, Inc. In that role, La Toya resolves disputes over the truthfulness and accuracy of national advertising campaigns, writing and publishing detailed decisions that provide guidance and critical insights to the advertising industry.  Prior to joining NAD, La Toya worked in private practice, advising clients on the marketing and promotion of consumer goods and services. La Toya specialized in issues related to the advertising of products subject to the overlapping jurisdictions of the Federal Trade Commission and the Food and Drug Administration. La Toya has authored numerous articles on various consumer protection issues and speaks regularly at industry conferences. La Toya received her B.A. from Brown University, with dual degrees in Political Science and Afro-American Studies. She received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
