Lower School Process

Note: All Kindergarten applicants must be five years old by August 31, 2027. There are no exceptions. 

Submit the online application and fee through your Ravenna account. Online applications should be submitted by December 1, 2026.

After your application has been submitted, you may schedule your parent tour and interview; Please allow approximately 90 minutes for the entire visit. The deadline for scheduling the parent interview and tour is 5:00 p.m. on December 9, 2026.

Once your application has been submitted, parents and guardians will be able to schedule the student visit on Ravenna. We look forward to meeting your daughter! The deadline for scheduling the Kindergarten Playgroup is 5:00 p.m. on December 9, 2026.

Discover what makes Chapin's Lower School such a joyful and inspiring place to begin a child's educational journey. Thérèse Cruite, Head of Lower School, will share how Chapin's program and pedagogy fosters curiosity, confidence and a love of learning. You'll gain insight into how Chapin nurtures each child's strengths while building a strong academic foundaiton.

During this time, parents and guardians will have the opportunity to engage with members of the school leadership team, including Head of School Suzanne Fogarty and other community members.

We invite you to share a brief and current (between September 2026 - December 2026) video clip with us following the suggested guidelines:

• Record a casual observational video no longer than 60 seconds in length using your mobile phone or tablet (no professional recordings, please).
• Spontaneous conversation may be included.
• Suggested activities include building, drawing, painting, playdoh, imaginary play, outdoor time.

The confidential ISAAGNY school report is available to delegate on the Ravenna platform, The school report form must be received no later than January 8, 2027 for your application to be considered complete.
