Middle School Faculty Bio Details

Anita Cheng, the Middle School Counselor and Health Educator for Class 4 and Class 5, is a New York State licensed and certified School Counselor. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Virginia Tech, as well as a Master’s Degree in Education from Virginia Commonwealth University. She also holds a Master’s Degree in School Counseling from Touro College. Ms. Cheng spent 12 years working in New York City schools where she participated in collegial collaboration with Columbia University’s Teacher College. Prior to joining The Chapin School, she worked as a District-Wide School Counselor in Long Island where she developed and implemented a district-wide social-emotional learning program. Ms. Cheng has an adventurous spirit and loves to explore new cultures through travel. She also enjoys yoga, playing the piano, and family dinners.
