Lower School Faculty Bio Details
Nick DePaola earned his bachelor's degree in physical education at the State University of New York at Cortland and a master of education degree in health education from Lehman College. During his time at Cortland, he was a member of the varsity football and rugby teams. At Chapin, Mr. DePaola teaches physical education in all divisions and coaches JV volleyball and varsity badminton. He also currently serves as the Athletic Association of Independent Schools league badminton chairperson. Prior to arriving at Chapin, Mr. DePaola taught physical education to students in K-12, Class 9 wellness, coached volleyball, badminton and co-created a strength and conditioning program at The Hewitt School. Mr. DePaola spends his weekends golfing, swimming and cycling.
