Lower School Faculty Bio Details

Alana Cimillo is thrilled to be entering her eleventh year teaching Kindergarten at Chapin. A graduate of Salve Regina University in Rhode Island, she earned her bachelor's degree in early childhood education. After completing her master's degree in literacy education at Teachers College, Columbia University, she continued to expand her passion for children's literature. She is always on the lookout for new titles to explore, and especially admires the work of author/illustrator Christian Robinson. During her free time, she enjoys going for hikes with her friendly dog, Eli, visiting the beach, reading mysteries and painting with watercolors.
