Lourdes Cossich
Faculty Information
Lourdes (Lulu) Cossich earned her bachelor's and master's degree in music education and vocal performance at the Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester. Subsequently, she earned a second master's degree from the University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Education, where she focused her studies in Culturally Sustaining Pedagogy. Ms. Cossich began her teaching career in independent schools, teaching Middle School and Lower School Music spanning grades Pre-K through eighth at Hope Partnership for Education and Westtown School. At Westtown, she began her work as Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) practitioner and was co-chair of the three divisional Visual and Performing Arts Department grades PreK - 12. Before joining Chapin, Ms. Cossich was the Assistant Director of Lower School at William Penn Charter, where she was instrumental in the creation of a new structured After School Program. In her spare time Ms. Cossich enjoys reading, playing tennis and cycling.
