Lower School Faculty Bio Details

Ms. David received her undergraduate degree from Barnard College, majoring in women's studies and sociology. Thereafter, she pursued a dual master's degree in early childhood education and special education from New York University. Prior to teaching at Chapin, Ms. David taught in NYC private schools, including Avenues: The World School and the Dwight School. During the summer from 2014-2023, she was a Head Counselor at the 92NY: Camp K’ Ton Ton. Ms. David finds joy in music and movement. She started her dance training at the age of nine, and is a professional dancer in salsa, modern and liturgical dance. She has been a longtime member of the Omega Dance Company and is currently on the company’s leadership team as associate director. She is thrilled to be entering her 8^th year teaching at Chapin!
