Wearing crisp jumpers and bright smiles, our youngest students arrived last Friday morning to begin their Chapin adventures. After posing for photographs, the 60 Kindergartners – the Class of 2036! – hopped up the steps of 100 East End Avenue, eager to unpack their backpacks and settle into their second-floor classrooms. Head of Lower School Thérèse Cruite greeted the girls and their grown-ups as they made their way to one of three Homerooms, where their teachers waited excitedly. These early days have been devoted to learning new routines and schedules, making friends, being brave and having fun, including outdoor time in Carl Schurz Park, which our Kindergartners especially enjoyed. Here’s to a wonderful year ahead!
