The last few weeks of May marked the conclusion of Chapin’s 2024-2025 athletics season. Just like the fall and winter sports, our spring teams’ seasons were filled with energy, teamwork, dedication and fun!
Our Varsity Badminton players and coaches finished a fantastic regular season—with only one loss—as AAIS Regular Season Co-Champions! The extent of the team’s talents were on full display at AAIS championships, held at Chapin, where they secured first place (defending their champion title) with an impressive 6-1 victory over Nightingale!
Our Varsity Track & Field Team had a terrific season with both individual and team success! The team placed 3rd at AAIS Championships, where they broke six school records, notched 10 personal records and celebrated 13 medalists. Following AAIS, 17 of our Track and Field athletes qualified for NYSAIS Championships. Three Class 8 students—Fairfax W., Georgette S. and Ava M.—earned medals in the 3000m, 100m and Discus, respectively, and Ayra N. ’27 placed 4th overall in the Triple Jump.
Varsity Softball and Varsity Lacrosse both enjoyed strong seasons, making it to AAIS quarterfinals.
Three cheers for all of our 2024-2025 student-athletes and their coaches, who put in countless hours after school to build their skills, support their teammates and engage in spirited competition. We can’t wait to see our Gators back in action next year!
