Lower School Field Day Celebrates the Circus

Brilliantly attired in every color of the rainbow, the energetic Kindergarten through Class 3 students arrived at nearby Asphalt Green on Friday, May 24 bursting with excitement. It was time for Field Day!

This year’s theme, “The Greatest Show on Turf,” celebrated all things circus. Supported by their teachers, many of whom were fittingly costumed as clowns, our youngest students participated in a host of entertaining contests, such as “Under the Big Top Relays,” “Hoops of Fire,” “Crazy Clown Derby,” “Pass the Popcorn,” and “Elephant Tag,” throughout the morning.

The students loved watching their teachers gamely compete with one another in the crowd-pleasing “Four Corner Clown Challenge Relay.” To conclude the festivities, Class 3 proudly ran a triumphant lap to celebrate their last year of Lower School, passing underneath a bridge the teachers made with their raised arms.

What a magnificent day of fun and fitness for our Lower School students, made possible by the Physical Education Department and the Lower School faculty! Thank you!
