During the week of September 16, the Chapin community gathered for Homecoming 2024, spreading school spirit throughout 100 East End Avenue and all the way to Central Park, Asphalt Green, and to our competitor’s Brearley Field House.
During the Friday morning pep rally at Chapin, Middle and Upper School students filled the Athletic Center with Green and Gold while thunderous cheers greeted our Varsity and Junior Varsity teams who charged in through their banners. The introductions were followed by friendly but spirited Green vs. Gold competitions, with athletic relays and trivia that included faculty participation. At an Assembly earlier in the week, all Class 4 students and new students received a special pin and sticker to designate their team of Green or Gold.
On Friday afternoon, the Lower School Carnival amplified the energy and excitement with games and activities across the School. Celebrations continued on Saturday with our Varsity soccer and Varsity Field Hockey competitions and a LS “fun run” at Asphalt Green.
Chapin’s scholar-athletes dominated the field, court and beyond, winning five out of six competitions against the Brearley Beavers!
Thank you to our Athletics/P.E. Department for their tremendous work, the Parents’ Association Co-Chairs and volunteers, and all of the community members—alums, families, PC and students—who came out to support!
