On two perfect fall Saturdays, Chapin alumnae organized a cheering corps for the school's sports teams. Parents, faculty and the families of alumnae were invited too, of course, and a large group showed up at Asphalt Green on October 1 to rally behind the field hockey team as it played Brearley. Before the game, field hockey coach and Assistant Head of School M.J. Quigley handed out Skor bars to the team, encouraging them to turn their candy bars into goals on the field.
On October 15, another group of alumnae and their families, parents and faculty traveled to Rye to support Chapin's volleyball, field hockey and soccer teams during Holy Child's homecoming celebration. Chapin spirit packs were on hand so that student athletes could feel even more support on their sidelines.
