Chapin's Last Day of School!

Chapin's Last Day of School!

Our K-7 students celebrated their last day of school on Friday, June 6, with big emotions, hugs and smiles that reflected the depth of their connections to Chapin, their teachers and their peers.

Middle School sent off Class 7 students to the Upper School with a Final Assembly to share memories and honor their accomplishments. With songs from the MS Choir, speeches from peers and faculty, and a slideshow encompassing their time at Chapin, the day was bittersweet for these remarkable students and all who care about them.

The Lower School also recognized the moving up of their Class 3 students at a Final Assembly—which included a much-anticipated dance party! Class 3  continued the Chapin tradition of signing each other’s Lower School jumpers, which is both an homage to their class and symbolic of trading in  their jumpers for MS skirts. Each  received a copy of the book "Be You!" by Peter H. Reynolds from their teachers as a gift. And, just before the dance party, the Lower School enjoyed a slide show of Class 3 memories, which became an adorable sing-along event.

Feelings of accomplishment and excitement for summer bounced about 100 East End as the students departed for the last time this academic year. A big, Chapin congratulations to all our students for another fantastic year, and some extra cheer for the Classes of 2034 and 2030 as they move up to new divisions in the fall!
