Chapin Celebrates Volunteers

Chapin Celebrates Volunteers

On Wednesday, May 28, Chapin’s Gordon Room was filled with the incredible volunteers* who have helped make the 2024-2025 school year so wonderful. These volunteers, whose contributions to Chapin are invaluable, came from every part of our school community, including the Parents’ Association, the Board of Trustees and the Alumnae Association. Our Head of School, Suzanne Fogarty, put words to our gratitude saying, “I’m proud to be part of a school that cares so deeply for its community.”

Also sharing notes of thanks at the event were out-going Chair of the Parent’s Association, Reshma Rughwani, who wrote a beautiful poem about the contributions of her fellow PA members, and President of the Alumnae Association, Wallis Post ’99, who remarked that our volunteers show us how “our community extends far beyond the walls of the School, impacting our communities, our professions, and our families with integrity and purpose.” The Later Gators—Chapin’s community singing group—serenaded our volunteers with a mashup of Xanadu’s title song and Michael Jackson’s “Heal the World”.

From Gator Gear and Book Fair, to giving tours of the School and Annual Giving outreach, Class Representatives to Board members, we cannot express how grateful we are for all that you contribute to the school we love so much. Thank you, volunteers!

*These attendees represent just a small portion of the hundreds of volunteers who do so much for Chapin. We are eternally grateful for each and every one!
