An Upbeat New Parents Supper

Parents of new students had the opportunity to meet one another and to learn more about Chapin at the annual New Parents’ Supper on September 15. Although this year’s event was held remotely, the attendees – more than 175 parents and a number of faculty, staff and trustees – appeared in high spirits, smiling widely from their Zoom boxes. After a warm introduction from Board Chair LeeAnn Black, the guests were dispersed into smaller “breakout rooms” for more intimate conversations before re-joining the main meeting to hear uplifting remarks from Head of School Suzanne Fogarty, who is herself new to Chapin. Ms. Fogarty noted that 112 new students began this fall, including 66 in Lower School, 23 in Middle School and 23 in Upper School. “It’s an honor and a privilege to work with your children,” she exclaimed. “Thank you for your trust in our School.” Welcome to the newest members of the Chapin community. Here’s to a terrific year ahead!
