The parents of Chapin’s newest students spent a lively evening meeting one another and learning more about the School at the annual New Parents’ Supper on September 14. This year’s gathering was once again held on Zoom – hence the nickname New Parents’ “Zupper” – with more than 150 parents and a number of faculty, staff and trustees participating. As they enjoyed their favorite beverages in green-and-white Chapin tumblers, the parents began by listening to inspiring words from Head of School Suzanne Fogarty who shared that she was “so excited and thrilled to welcome” them to Chapin and noted that 127 new students began this fall, including 71 in Lower School, 30 in Middle School and 28 in Upper School. Board Chair LeeAnn Black also spoke, offering an overview of Chapin’s Board of Trustees while emphasizing the many ways parents can get involved. Following the remarks, guests joined smaller breakout rooms for more intimate conversations. Here’s to a wonderful year ahead for our new families!
