January brings alumnae back to 100 East End Avenue

On Tuesday, January 7, alumnae took part in two Chapin traditions: College Alumnae Day and the Alumnae Cultural Awareness Program (ACAP) open meeting.

In the morning, alumnae panelists from the Classes of 2010 through 2013 shared details of their paths to college and their lives after high school with students in Class 11 and Class 12. Questions asked of them included: “What is the most exciting aspect of being a college student?” “What advice do you have about creating a good college list?” “What skills do you feel one needs to be successful in college?” “Were some classes really helpful in preparing you for college academic work?” and “Can you discuss your gap year experience?”

Some panelists stayed to join fellow alumnae for the ACAP annual open meeting. Both Chapin’s Cultural Awareness Program (CAP) and Gay/Straight Alliance (GSA) members joined with the alumnae to network and hold a group discussion in the evening.
