Every year, Chapin’s Alumnae Association facilitates educational and social events for alumnae that take advantage of the wide range of cultural opportunities available in New York City. In October, for example, a group visited the popular Gilded New York exhibition at the Museum of the City of New York and was taken on a private tour by Lilly Tuttle ’96, who is the museum’s assistant curator.
On a recent Saturday morning in November, alumnae were fortunate to have Saara Pritchard ’02, Associate Vice-President, Specialist, Head of Sales, Post-War and Contemporary Art, as their tour guide for a visit to the Post-War and Contemporary Auctions at Christie’s. The group was also joined by Jody Wilkie Greene ’72, International Specialist Head of European Ceramics and Glass at Christie’s.
For both visits, alumnae relaxed in the beautiful spaces and caught up with each other while they learned a bit more about the art that makes New York famous.
