Alumnae were delighted to gather on two spring days last week for Alumnae Reunion 2016. Over 400 guests returned to the School on April 7 and 8 to celebrate and mark the special Reunion anniversaries for class years ending in 6 and 1.
During the first day of Reunion, alumnae cheerfully visited classes to observe current students engaging in their studies. Later on in the afternoon, they had the opportunity to tour the School and to attend special presentations, including an informative discussion on the building plans, as well as a concert featuring several of Chapin's talented musicians. In the evening, more alumnae returned to 100 East End Avenue to catch up with classmates at the annual cocktail reception.
The Alumnae Association's Annual Meeting was held on Friday morning. In addition to officially welcoming the Class of 2016 to the Alumnae Association, members of the alumnae community in attendance heard from the 50th Reunion Class Speaker, Toni Markson Lee '66, member of Class 12 and President of Self-Government Corinne Rabbin-Birnbaum, President of the Alumnae Association Bettina Goldstein Decker '88, Chair of the Board of Trustees Linden Havemeyer Wise '70 Chair and Head of School Dr. Hayot. The meeting drew to a close with alumnae singing the School Song together. The group then recessed to enjoy the traditional Alumnae Luncheon.
We hope to welcome our alumnae back to Chapin again soon!
