A recent graduate of Columbia College, Columbia University, Camila Vicioso ’17 double majored in Biology and Psychology while also working as a research assistant in the Department of Pediatric Cardiology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and in the Developmental Affective Neuroscience Lab, where she completed an honors senior thesis as part of the Senior Thesis Advanced Research in Psychology/Neuroscience Program. In addition, she danced ballet throughout college while directing a student-run ballet company, Columbia University Ballet Ensemble, to produce full-length ballets each semester. In sophomore year of college, Camila committed early to the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai via their FlexMed program. Camila was selected as a Senior Marshal, receiving a Leadership & Excellence Award for Community Building from Columbia and was chosen as the 2023-2024 recipient of the Harry J. Carman Fellowship, which is supporting her in her first year of medical school at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
