“My college application process was certainly a unique one. My top choice was the film program at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, which required me to submit a portfolio and several creative essays in addition to the regular NYU application. Chapin's art department, Individual Study program, and college guidance team were all key players in helping me both apply and get into the film program. My most important portfolio submission was the animated documentary I made for my senior year individual study. Had Chapin not pushed me to finish and finesse this challenging project, I wouldn't have had such a strong piece as my ticket into my dream school. I am now a rising senior in NYU's film program, and while I am graduating a semester early thanks to AP credits, I would happily spend another year there. My classes are challenging in the best way and I've been pushed creatively in ways I never could have imagined. I'm very grateful to Chapin for helping me get into a school that I so enjoy attending.”
