Alice McIntyre holds a bachelor’s degree in Latin and Greek from Swarthmore College and a master’s degree in independent school leadership from Peabody College at Vanderbilt University. Prior to her work at Chapin, Ms. McIntyre spent eight years teaching Latin in the Middle and Upper Schools at Garrison Forest School, a day and boarding school for girls in Owings Mills, Maryland. She has dedicated many summers to the Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth program, where she has most recently served as a Latin I instructor. In 2010, she was selected as a fellow for the Klingenstein Summer Institute at Teachers College. As a graduate of an independent school for girls, Ms. McIntyre is delighted to devote her career to the education of young women.
