Ginger Murtaugh received her bachelor’s degree in American studies from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. Mrs. Murtaugh raised a family in Connecticut and, while there, taught nursery school, was a substitute teacher in the Wilton public schools, coached and officiated lacrosse and field hockey, and worked as a consultant for Tips On Trips and Camps, an advisory service that helps families find summer programs and camps for their children. She returned to New York City and joined the Chapin staff in 2009. Mrs. Murtaugh teaches physical education; assists the athletic director; and coaches field hockey, squash and lacrosse. She spends her summer and winter vacations in Edwards, Colorado, where she loves to hike, bike, golf, ski and snowshoe.
