Planned Giving Opportunities

What is planned giving?

Planned gifts, also known as life-income gifts, accomplish two worthy goals at once: Helping Chapin to offer a peerless education to future generations of bright young women, and ensuring financial security for you and your loved ones. In one step, you can give back to the school that prepared you, your daughter or your granddaughter while making sure that you and your family have valuable income for many years. Such gifts are a way to honor Chapin and put your own finances on firm ground.

Can my planned gift help the Together We Will campaign?

Yes! Chapin will count bequests from donors ages 70 and older, whether living or deceased, toward its ongoing $75-million endowment campaign. Your bequest could help the school move even farther toward the campaign’s goals of greater faculty support, curriculum development, enhanced financial aid and first-class facilities for learning.

To participate, all you need to do is formally notify Chapin of your bequest intention as soon as possible. We will provide you with a simple, confidential form for you to fill out and return to us, confirming your intentions. Once we receive this form, your bequest officially becomes part of Chapin’s most ambitious effort ever to ensure that our educational philosophy, innovative programs and honored traditions remain the gold standard in women’s education for generations to come. To receive a form, please contact Shara Freeman at 212.570.4990 or freeman@chapin.edu.
