Why give to Chapin?

2009-2010 goal: $2,800,000

Collected: $1,948,841

Drive ends: 06.30.2010

Annual giving makes every aspect of a Chapin education possible. It puts laptops in the hands of Class 3 girls who learn video animation. It enables art history students to debate whether ancient Greek temples were homes for sculpture or sculptures in their own right. It allows aspiring seventh-grade biologists to watch as DNA replication takes place on the Web.

Chapin’s curriculum and financial aid programs exist because of the generosity of our annual giving donors. Parents, alumnae, faculty and staff, grandparents, the parents of alumnae and others show their support of Chapin's mission by participating in annual giving at whatever level they are able. Their contributions provide for nearly every aspect of day-to-day life at the school, such as:

  • Competitive salaries for talented faculty
  • Financial aid for deserving students
  • Computers, scientific equipment, books and other classroom materials
  • Extracurricular activities, sports equipment and art supplies
  • Scholarships for teachers to take courses to extend their knowledge

Giving to Chapin: A donor's options

Annual giving is one of three types of support that a donor can offer Chapin. The others are planned giving and our endowment campaign. Follow these links to learn more:
