College Guidance Stories

"With my role as a Peer Leader and Dance Club President at Chapin, on top of taking all Advanced or AP classes, there were times when the college process felt extremely overwhelming. With that said, I was able to make it work, especially with the support system from Chapin's College Guidance department and through my family and friends.

Comparing what I wanted to where I am now, it is almost night and day. However, I am happier than I ever thought I could be at Bowdoin and could not imagine myself anywhere else. The most important lesson I learned from the process is that what I wanted from the end of my junior year to the beginning of my senior year and even the end of senior year was all changed, and it's important to embrace that change. As difficult as the process is, it has a funny way of working itself out in the end; I can attest to that."
